4Zero is proud to announce its partnership with Transport for NSW on Project Guardian, a 12-month trial exploring how technologies including LiDAR, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can help identify risky behaviour earlier and create greater opportunities to prevent harm across the transport network.
Improving visibility at Kingswood Station
At Kingswood Station, 4Zero's technology is helping Transport for NSW better understand when people enter or cross the rail corridor, providing visibility into activity that can otherwise be difficult to detect.
From detection to prevention
Project Guardian is about more than detecting individual events. The trial aims to build a clearer picture of where, when and how people may be placing themselves at risk, giving Transport for NSW and its frontline teams better information to plan earlier interventions and preventative safety measures.
The earlier we can identify a risk, the greater our opportunity to prevent harm and ensure less disruptions to the transport network.
For 4Zero, Project Guardian reflects what technology should ultimately be about: solving a human problem and helping keep people safe.
A collaborative effort
Projects like this are never delivered by one organisation alone. 4Zero thanks the teams at Transport for NSW, Microsoft, Cisco, Converge Cloud and IPTEL for their support, expertise and commitment, which have been instrumental in bringing Project Guardian to this point.
